So, I have swelling on my retina. We don't know the cause. I have more testing this afternoon, and, regardless what they tell me, I have already made an appointment with a retina specialist for next week. Meanwhile, the vision in my right eye is blurred, and my left eye aches from the strain of trying to compensate. Hence, the blog silence: attempting to focus the computer screen is just plain frustrating.
Also frustrating:
- I haven't been able to read before going to bed for almost two weeks.
- This includes reading to Miss A before her bedtime. Thankfully, S is able to read to her while I listen to Miss H read to me, so the girl's routine is not completely interrupted---though they are accustomed to switching parents each night, so there have been bumpy moments.
- For the last month or so, I have been taking lots of blurry photos. I thought something was wrong with my (relatively) new camera, but it is now sinking in that it is my vision and not the camera.
- Our sweet, adorable, little kitten is a pain in the ass. And, not in the normal, frisky, busy kitten way---she bites. The vet gave us some suggestions for dealing with her "mouthiness", but they don't seem to be working, and I am less and less enamored with Miss Daisy. She is lucky she is so damn adorable.
I could go on, but this is turning out quite whiny. Not to mention, I am typing with my eyes closed and it will probably take me twenty minutes to complete spell check. I will try not to leave you hanging on this next test.
