Good luck with choice three! Haha if you think choice two is bad now, just wait until she is a teen and wants to decorate. Then you have to pretend like it's no biggie so she doesn't think she is getting a rise out of you.

Her Bad Mother

Something that I had not even considered about a future with girls (tho' I suppose that this could apply with boys, too) - decorating challenges. Battles of aesthetic wills. Shopping for the elusive perfect thing. Being unable to explain to a tiny decorator that you can't always get what you want...

My sister and I were very much like your two daughters and I was soooooo happy when I finally got my own room at the ripe old age of 7. I was even willing to sleep in a room that I had previously believed was haunted just to get some precious alone time.

Good luck getting option 3. It's so frustrating when things are sold out and they don't let you know!

My Photo

Welcome

  • I'm Susan. I'm flawed. I love used book stores, family game night, starfish, the Boston Red Sox, lighthouses, photography, itty bitty baby toes and yoga. I'm addicted to pumpkin spice lattes, office supplies, tote bags, and my fabulously patient husband (Steve) as well as our two rapidly growing daughters: Hayden (14) and Anna (10). When they were little their hair was constantly in crooked pigtails. We live in a small shoreline town in Southeastern Connecticut with Luna, our Cockapoo, and Daisy, Josie, and Lucy our three cats. Our house is old. Our decore is primarily Children Live Here with a splash of Constant Renovation. Come on in and make yourself comfortable.
